Overview

ToneCheck is an email tone analysis tool. We take your privacy seriously. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and what we never do with it.

What we collect

When you analyse an email, the text is sent to our server and processed by an AI model. We do not store, log, or retain the content of any email you submit. Each request is processed and immediately discarded.

Payment data

Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your credit card details. We only receive confirmation that a payment was successful.

Usage tracking

We track the number of daily analyses using your browser localStorage only. This data never leaves your device and is used solely to enforce the 3 free checks per day limit.

Chrome extension

The ToneCheck Chrome extension operates through a popup window. Email text you paste is sent directly to our API for analysis and is not stored. The extension does not read your Gmail inbox or access any part of your email account beyond text you explicitly paste.

Data retention

We do not retain email content. There is nothing to delete because nothing is stored.
